  • She was born in 1773 in aboard the 'Hector' from Scotland, At Sea. This is not consistant with a passenger list that was transcribed by George MacLaren, published on the Pictou County GenWeb site. The passenger list shows a Hugh Fraser, child of Donald but no other Frasers. A Jean Fraser between the age of 2 and 8 is listed. If that Jean is this Jane/Jean then the passenger list implies that she was actually born in Scotland prior to the voyage.1,3
  • She was the daughter of Margaret Grant.2
  • She died on 22 June 1839.1
