     He was born in 1837 in Missouri, USA.1 He married Agnes Adams, daughter of Soloman Adams and Nancy Hogg, on 15 October 1857 in Andrew County, Missouri, USA.2,1 He served for the Union during the Civil War from 1863 to 1865. He served in Company K of the 3rd Minnesota Infantry and Company H of the 113th US Colored Infantry.3 He married Mary Alice O'Meara between March 1885 and 1889. He is enumerated as a widower in the 1885 Kansas census and he had a daughter with Mary in 1889.4 He died on 20 June 1890 in Arkansas City, Cowley, Kansas, USA.1,5 He was buried after 20 June 1890 in Riverview Cemetery, Arkansas City, Cowley, Kansas, USA.6

Her death record indcates she was born in Kansas City but the birth record for her son Charles John Probert indicates she was born in Arkansas City, Kansas which is more likely due to it's proximity to Winfield Kansas where her mother Mildred was probably living. Andrew was living in Winfield in the 1880 US Census.2,1,3 She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Pyburn and Mary Alice O'Meara.1 She died on 16 December 1952 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, USA, at age 63.1
