In 1780 he served in Captain Stevens' Company where he was take as prisoner to Quebec and returned later to Newbury, VT.2,4,5 He married Louisa Chamberlain, daughter of Richard Chamberlain and Abigail Wright, on 31 January 1792 in Newbury, Orange, Vermont, USA.2,6 He died on 19 February 1831 at age 80.2,7 He was buried after 19 February 1831 in Blue Mountain Cemetery, Ryegate Corner, Caledonia, Vermont, USA.
