Father*Nicholas Peter van Patten1 b. 1781, d. 11 Nov 1851
Mother*Sarah Fredendall1 b. 23 May 1786, d. 28 Feb 1873
She was born on 31 December 1823 in Guilderland, Albany, New York, USA.1 She was the daughter of Nicholas Peter van Patten and Sarah Fredendall.1 She married Harvilla Smith in 1840 in Guilderland, Albany, New York, USA.1 She married Orton Hoxie on 16 October 1843 in Wheatland Twp, Hillsdale, Michigan, USA.1 She married Dana Perrine in 1896 in Branch County, Michigan, USA.1 Obituary for Mrs. Hannah Perrine:
Hannah Van Patten was born was born at Schenectady, N.Y., December 31, 1823 and died at the home of her son, Myron Hoxie, at Battle Creek, Mich., February 14, 1908 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 14 days.
She was united in marriage to Orton Hoxie at Wheatland, Hillsdale Co., Mich. in the year 1843 and during this year they moved to Algansee township in Branch county.
It was her lot to know the real meaning of the joys and hardships of pioneer days for in 1849 her husband went to California in search of gold and the work of looking after the farm and the care of the children was left to Mrs. Hoxie and her mother. Mr. Hoxie was successful in his search for gold and on his return they bought the farm, since known as the Orton Hoxie place, where she and Mr. Hoxie lived until his death May 30, 1895. She was united in marriage to Dana Perrine of East Gilead in 1896. His death occured two years ago and since that time she has made her home with her son Myron at Battle Creek.
She was the mother of nine children four of whom are still living: Charles, of Spencer, Iowa; George, of Lakeside, Washington; Frederick of Algansee and Myron of Battle Creek. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Regular Baptist church and her life was spent in the service of the Master. She was a loving mother and a kind neighbor and will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know her.

Harriet van Patten was also known as Hattie.1 She was born circa 1859 in Cobourg, Northumberland West, Ontario, Canada. The date of 1867 on her death cert is inconsistent with all other data I've seen. It may be a transcription error.2,3 She was the daughter of William Roy van Patten and Sofia Rachel Dean.1 She was born on 8 May 1867 in Cobourg, Northumberland West, Ontario, Canada. It looks like this date, on her death cert, is the year she arrived in the US from Canada not the year she was born, it's inconsistant with her age in the 1870 census. I found a different apparent birth year on every census though.1 She died on 9 January 1935 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA.1
