MIlitary Service

Stephen Page served during the French and Indian War in 1757 in Lake George, New York, USA, His obituary indicates he was one of 2500 men under Col Monroe in Fort William Henry that surendered to a much larger force of French troops and Indian allies.4 He served in the American Revolution in 1777. Stephen appears as a lieutenant on the pay roll of Captain Ezekiel Gile's Company of Volunteers from Plaistow, New Hampshire that marched to Saratoga to join the Northern Continental Army.6,7,1,8
